FAA Routine BVLOS Proposal (Part 108)
The FAA proposed Part 108 as a framework for routine BVLOS operations through operating permits and certificates, with related changes to other rules. The proposal does not itself authorize a flight. OIRA lists the final-rule stage of RIN 2120-AL82 as pending review, received July 10, 2026. Existing operations continue under the applicable current approvals.
