Classifies as high-risk AI systems that are safety components of products covered by the Union harmonisation legislation in Annex I. Under the 2026 amendment, obligations for those products apply from August 2, 2028, and machinery is handled through the Machinery Regulation rather than the AI Act's own technical requirements.
